The counter argument for this controversy is that eliminating plastic bags would be better for the health of our environment. I found through research that this side of the argument has many statistics to support this claim. However, it lacks how it will effect the health of our population individually.

I like how your argument pits a commitment to environmental health against a commitment to individual health. This argument has a lot of rhetorical potential. How will you convince people that their own health is more important than the environment's (especially if they could potentially keep both healthy by using and washing the re-usable bags)?
ReplyDeleteYou can focus your research on finding reliable sources that prove how unhealthy re-usable bags can be. In your argument, you may want to use a good dose of pathos, since pathos is usually used by environmentalists in their arguments.
