Research: Advantages of breast feeding are not only beneficial to child but also mother

When first researching this controversy, I thought breast feeding infants only proved to be beneficial for the mother, but come to find out, there are actually advantages of breast feeding for the mother and for the environment as well.
Regarding the mothers, "...experts say breastfeeding reduces the mother's risk of fatal postpartum haemorrhage and premenopausal breast and ovarian cancer"(Daily Champion). This has to be somewhat comforting or reassuring for the mother because the last thing a new mother wants to worry about while nursing her newborn is her health.

Breast milk over formula milk surprisingly has some economic and environmental benefits along with the obvious benefits for the baby and the mother. Economically, breast milk saves money in comparison to formula milk because nothing is having to be purchased. Environmentally, "... breast milk, a natural, renewable, sustainable resource, does not require fuel for preparation, packaging, shipping, or disposal" (Daily Champion).

It is more obvious the benefits that lie within feeding your baby breast milk, but the advantages that come along with breast milk outside of the obvious infant feeding, are somewhat more unexpected. Not only does breast milk have advantages for the infant, but advantages come in other forms as well.
