Proposal

Because of the many resources, I have chosen too write about obesity's causes and prevention. There are many arguments around that claim to have identified the causes of obesity and it's prevention. However, many of these claims reject the idea that obesity is a result of a combination of factors and problems that are unique to each person. I will use sources such as the CDC, the NHLBI, Webmd, and community blogs to gain perspective of this disease and to convince my audience that obesity and its prevention is unique and changes from person to person. Since my essay is now chosen I can begin to formulate an outline and slowly build upon the actual essay.

  1. In order to find evidence supporting your argument that obesity's causes are different for each individual, you will probably have to look to medical journals or other specialized resources in order to get a credible professional opinions. Some of the sources you have already identified are likely to have general information that is designed for a broad audience of different individual patients.

This proposal has a lot of potential for using strong rhetorical appeals to get your reader to understand and take action regarding his or her own personal health needs.
